Mitigation Specialist Services

Dr. Elliott provides mitigation specialist services for capital and non-capital cases, working as part of the defense team to develop a complete, humanizing picture of the client's life history. This includes identifying and documenting the psychological, developmental, and environmental factors relevant to sentencing.

Services include comprehensive record review, family and collateral interviews, psychological testing, and coordination with other members of the mitigation team. Dr. Elliott has provided mitigation specialist services on more than 40 capital cases, helping defense teams build well-supported, clinically grounded mitigation narratives.
